LOS ANGELES- It’s Tom Brady vs. Matthew Stafford. It’s the battle of the undefeated teams! Two balanced teams will lock horns for four quarters as one looks to remain perfect on the season. The home crowd in Los Angeles will surely be loud, energetic, and ready to test the mental toughness of the Buccaneers. This could be the toughest road matchup for the Buccaneers all season. It’ll get interesting to see if Tampa Bay can win at one of the largest NFL venues, SoFi Stadium. Can this team do it?
The Rams defense features two of the best playmakers in the entire NFL with defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Cornerback Jalen Ramsey. This defense can absolutely make this game miserable for the GOAT of all quarterbacks, Brady.
Can this Rams defense do much to stop the most elite offense in the entire league? How does a defense stop Brady, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Robert Gronkowski, Ronald Jones, and Leonard Fournette? This matchup is a measuring stick for both the Buccaneers offense and the Rams defense.
The Rams are 2-0 without running back Cam Akers who suffered a torn Achilles tendon. Akers will not play this season so it’ll be a test for Los Angeles to find a way to win against the defending Super Bowl Champion without the starting running back. The Rams won’t likely have enough offensive success to win against the NFL’s top team.
Stafford faces a defense that has ways to wreak havoc with Vita Vea and LeVonte David. There’s a good chance that Tampa Bay will blitz and pressure Stafford right away.
Prediction
Buccaneers 35 Rams 28
Although the Rams boast big-time playmakers on both offense and defense, they won’t have enough to win this game. It will be a tough test for both teams in what is likely a playoff game preview. The team that wins this game will almost certainly end the season as the number one team and top seed in the NFC.
