Read Time:4 Minute, 7 Second

Welcome to Against All Odds: NCAA/NFL Picks! From the opening weekend of the NCAA football season through Super Bowl LIII, Mike Drakulich (PSN), the man behind Pittsburgh SportsNation, takes on his father, Michael J. Drakulich (MJD), in picking NCAA and NFL games against the Vegas line.

Mike Drakulich covers both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers during the season for NGSCSports.com!

To appease the taste buds of Pittsburgh’s local coverage area, Pitt, Penn State, and West Virginia, when they are playing, will always be on the docket among the NCAA games chosen, as will the Pittsburgh Steelers for NFL games.

Once Bowl Season arrives, we’ll bring you EVERY Bowl game and then continue throughout the conclusion of the NFL Playoffs.

Itchy vs Scratchy. Black Spy vs White Spy. Cheers vs Gary’s Old Towne Tavern. History is full of rivalries, but none are better than father vs son! Who will rise above the other this season and become the 2019-20 Against All Odds Champion?

Football season is back, and so are we! Both my dad and I are looking forward to another great battle on who will take the title of Against All Odds Champion. The last six years we are dead even at three Odds championships apiece.

This week will feature ten NCAA games as the NFL isn’t set to start until next week’s edition.

Lines as of 8/29/2019

NCAA Football

Friday, August 30th

Wisconsin Badgers (0-0) at South Florida Bulls (0-0)

Game Time: Noon at Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL.

Line: Wisconsin -13.5

Pick: PSN: South Florida | MJD: Wisconsin

Badgers face a tough road test down in Tampa. Wisconsin should come away with the W, but it will be closer than what Vegas has listed

Colorado State Rams (0-0) at Colorado Buffaloes (0-0)

Game Time: 10:00 pm at Broncos Stadium, Denver, CO.

Line: Colorado -13.5

Pick: PSN: Colorado | MJD: Colorado State

Two rivals face off once again, but the Buffaloes are more talented and will pull away late in this one.

Saturday, August 31st

Florida Atlantic Owls (0-0) at #5 Ohio State Buckeyes (0-0)

Game Time: Noon at Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH.

Line: Ohio State -27.5

Pick: PSN: Ohio State | MJD: Ohio State

Bullpen session for Thee Ohio State.

James Madison Dukes (0-0) at West Virginia Mountaineers (0-0)

Game Time: 2:00 pm at Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, WV.

Line: WVU -7.5

Pick: PSN: WVU | MJD: WVU

Trouble down in Morgantown? New coach Neil Brown who starts his tenure off with a new QB and young team could spell disaster for the Mountaineers who are just a touchdown favorite vs James Madison, who is led by former Pitt QB Ben DiNucci.

South Carolina Gamecocks (0-0) at North Carolina Tar Heels (0-0)

Game Time: 3:30 pm at Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC.

Line: South Carolina -10.5

Pick: PSN: South Carolina | MJD: South Carolina

Can Mack Brown make a difference for UNC in his return to the Tar Heels?

Idaho Vandals (0-0) at #15 Penn State Nittany Lions (0-0)

Game Time: 3:30 pm at Beaver Stadium, University Park, PA.

Line: Penn State -34.5

Pick: PSN: Penn State | MJD: Idaho

Penn State originally had a game vs a local high school scheduled, but they cancelled and settled for Idaho instead.

Duke Blue Devils (0-0) at #2 Alabama Crimson Tide (0-0)

Game Time: 3:30 pm at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA.

Line: Alabama -33.5

Pick: PSN: Alabama | MJD: Alabama

Duke faces life without Daniel Jones and their first opponent is Bama? Oh, my…

Virginia Tech Hokies (0-0) at Boston College Eagles (0-0)

Game Time: 4:00 pm Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA.

Line: VaTech -4.5

Pick: PSN: Boston College | MJD: Boston College

The Hokies have some preseason hype going, but that will quickly be snuffed out by a tough Eagles team that plays well at home.

#11 Oregon Ducks (0-0) at #16 Auburn Tigers (0-0)

Game Time: 7:30 pm at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX.

Line: Auburn -3.5

Pick: PSN: Auburn | MJD: Oregon

The best game of the week will be played down in Texas… War Eagle will stand tall at the end of this one.

Virginia Cavaliers (0-0) at Pitt Panthers (0-0)

Game Time: 7:30 pm at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA.

Line: Virginia -2.5

Pick: PSN: Pitt | MJD:

Pitt enters this season as defending Coastal Division champs. Experts have picked Virginia to win the Coastal this season. Expect the Panthers to make the so called experts to eat their words.
