Week Nine: Aliquippa Quips (5-3) at Ambridge Bridgers (1-8), 7:00 PM
Last week Aliquippa was humbled by Montour 34-20.
In the regular season finale, the Quips travel across the river to take on Ambridge.
Aliquippa QB Marques Council had passed for 983 yards, nine touchdowns, four interceptions, and rushed for 190 yards. Unfortunately for the Quips, he’s out for the rest of the season.
Qa’Lil Goode who was 2nd on the team with 17 receptions, 370 yards and six touchdowns, has taken over at quarterback in Council’s absence. He’s passed for 180 yards and three interceptions.
Josh Lay leads the team with 26 catches for 447 yards and one touchdown.
J.J. Work has rushed for 611 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Quips will have to win to keep their playoff hopes alive and well.
The WPIAL Playoffs will be determined on Saturday, October 25th.
