WEYMOUTH, Mass. (June 16, 2023) — The Futures League is proud to announce the continuation of its linear television partnership with the New England Sports Network (NESN) for the fourth consecutive year.
During the 2023 season, “Futures League Thursdays on NESN” — presented by Masis Staffing Solutions — will feature televised games on the popular regional sports network over four consecutive Thursday nights in July and early August. The entire NESN slate will consist of nighttime starts at 7 p.m. for the first time in league history.
“For the last four years NESN has been one of the Futures League’s most important partners, and we are excited to continue our relationship this season,” Futures League Commissioner Joe Paolucci said. “The change to a primetime spot on Thursday nights will help the evolution of the Futures League as we strive to be one of the best summer collegiate leagues in the country.”
July 13 marks the first game of this summer’s NESN series. The Worcester Bravehearts will host the Vermont Lake Monsters at Fitton Field in Worcester, Mass.
The defending and six-time Futures League champion Nashua Silver Knights will take center stage on July 20, hosting the Brockton Rox at Historic Holman Stadium in Nashua, N.H.
Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Conn., will be the site of a July 27 contest between the home-standing Norwich Sea Unicorns and the Westfield Starfires. The four-game set will conclude with Worcester and Vermont meeting again on August 3 in the first-ever NESN game at Centennial Field in Burlington, Vt.
