Brockton, MA – Joe Logan has been announced as the tenth manager in the history of Brockton’s Futures League franchise. Logan rejoins the Rox after serving as an assistant coach during the 2022 season.
A Florida native, Logan has dedicated his life to baseball and helping young players get better. He works closely with Baseball Hall of Famers Ken Griffey Jr. and Barry Larkin, providing baseball clinics in South Korea, Taiwan, Colombia, Ecuador, and the Philippines. He also puts on many clinics in the United States, running multiple clinics at Campanelli Stadium last year in association with Georgetown University.
Joe Logan played collegiately at Florida Southern College and was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 28th round of the 1989 MLB Draft. He pitched for a couple of seasons in the Expos minor league system before turning his focus to coaching. He sported a 2.90 ERA over 62 appearances and 141 innings pitched.
Logan is “looking forward to a productive season with the boys”, as they looked to build off some late-season momentum including a walk-off win to end the 2022 season against the first-place Vermont Lake Monsters.
The Brockton Rox will open their 2023 season on the road in Vermont before traveling back for the home opener on May 25th at 6:30 pm at Campanelli Stadium against the Nashua Silver Knights. Tickets will be going on sale soon at tickets.brocktonrox.com.
