Are you a degenerate gambler? Perhaps you’re someone who picks games against the spread just for fun and to see how smart you really aren’t? If this describes you, or if you just like to be entertained by a crazy sports columnist, you’re in luck, because you’ve stumbled across Against All Odds: NCAA/NFL Picks, a weekly post from the start of the football season, all the way to the Super Bowl, where me, Mike Drakulich (PSN), the man behind Pittsburgh SportsNation, takes on my father, Michael J. Drakulich (MJD), in picking NCAA and NFL games against the Vegas line! Check out the Draftkings welcome offer to see how you can win big and find many bonuses.

I cover both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers during the season for the fabulous NGSCSports.com!

Normally, we always include the local teams here in Western Pennsylvania, which are Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia, and the Pittsburgh Steelers among our weekly picks. This gives me the chance to take shots at the opposing teams I really dislike, enraging certain readers, and adding delight to my busy weekends.

All in all, both my dad and I are pretty good at picking these games, but don’t take our word for it. You’re on your own when you place your bets, so don’t blame us if you lose… but you can share your winnings with us if you wish.

Itchy vs Scratchy. Black Spy vs White Spy. Cheers vs Gary’s Old Towne Tavern. History is full of rivalries, but none are better than father vs son! Who will rise above the other this season and become the 2020-21 Against All Odds Champion?

Against All Odds: NCAA/NFL Picks Week 9

Lines as of 11/12/2020

The year and season of misery in Against All Odds continues as yours truly recorded yet another average week in the books. The only good news, for me anyways, is I gained two more games on my dad who has hit a mid-season swoon. I’m now three games back as we head down the stretch in college, but begin the 2nd half of the NFL season. No Pitt game this week as their game was postponed due to “COVID” concerns…

NCAA Football Games

Saturday, November 14th

Penn State Nittany Lions (0-3) at Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-2)

Game Time: 12:00 PM at Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, NE.

Vegas Line: Penn State -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Penn State | MJD: Penn State

The free fall has to end here, right, Happy Valley? There’s no way Penn State falls to 0-4 at the hands of a pitiful Nebraska squad… right? No answer? Goodness it’s quiet on Twitter and Facebook from PSU fans this year.

TCU Horned Frogs (3-3) at West Virginia Mountaineers (4-3)

Game Time: 12:00 PM at Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, WV.

Vegas Line: WVU -3.5

The Pick: PSN: WVU | MJD: TCU

WVU found a way to shaft me yet again last week, making it four straight losses added on to me thanks to those roadkill eating heathens.

#2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-0) at Boston College Eagles (5-3)

Game Time: 3:30 PM at Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA.

Vegas Line: Notre Dame -13.5

The Pick: PSN: Notre Dame | MJD: Boston College

Notre Dame played great last week, partly benefitted by Trevor Lawrence being out for Clemson. They shouldn’t suffer any letdowns against one of their Catholic rivals.

Arkansas Razorbacks (3-3) at #6 Florida Gators (4-1)

Game Time: 7:00 PM at Florida Field, Gainesville, FL.

Vegas Line: Florida -17.5

The Pick: PSN: Florida | MJD: Florida

The high powered offense of the Gators will be too much for Arkansas to handle this Saturday evening in Gainesville.

NFL

Sunday, November 15th

Houston Texans (2-6) at Cleveland Browns (5-3)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH.

Vegas Line: Cleveland -3.5

The Pick: PSN: Cleveland | MJD: Cleveland

The Browns will get a boost with RB Nick Chubb returning from injury against the hapless Texans.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-4-1) at NY Giants (2-7)

Game Time: 1:00 PM at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ.

Vegas Line: Philadelphia -2.5

The Pick: PSN: Philadelphia | MJD: NY Giants

This game could go either way, as both teams suck. Based on what I’ve seen so far, Philadelphia should have enough to go on the road and pull out a close win. What is this, first to six wins wins the NFC East?

Denver Broncos (3-5) at Las Vegas Raiders (5-3)

Game Time: 4:05 PM at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV.

Vegas Line: Las Vegas -4.5

The Pick: PSN: Las Vegas | MJD: Las Vegas

Drew Lock has looked better for Denver, but I doubt he can get enough out of his team to outlast the Raiders at home in front of a capacity crowd of dozens…

Seattle Seahawks (6-2) at LA Rams (5-3)

Game Time: 4:25 PM at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA.

Vegas Line: LA Rams -1.5

The Pick: PSN: LA Rams | MJD: Seattle

Seattle and Russell Wilson have had some flaws exposed the past few games, and they do not play well on the road. Aaron Donald and the Rams will eek out a victory Sunday.

Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-0)

Game Time: 4:25 PM at Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA.

Vegas Line: Pittsburgh -7.5

The Pick: PSN: Pittsburgh | MJD: Pittsburgh

Word on the street is Ben Roethlisberger will be playing and out of COVID protocols on Saturday and will power the Steelers to a ninth straight win to start the 2020 season. Too many weapons for the Bengals to handle, and as good as Joe Burrows is, he will be running for his life all day from the Steelers defense.

Baltimore Ravens (6-2) at New England Patriots (3-5)

Game Time: 8:20 PM at Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA.

Vegas Line: Baltimore -6.5

The Pick: PSN: Baltimore | MJD: Baltimore

UPDATE!! With Coastal Carolina-Troy being cancelled yesterday, we’ve added the Sunday Night Football game to the line-up! Kinda hard to think the Patriots with how they have been playing, being able to stop the Ravens in this one.

Against All Odds Pick Results

MJD: Last Week: 3-7 | Overall: 41-39    —   (.512)

PSN: Last Week: 5-5 | Overall: 38-42    -3   (.475)
