On November 18, the Boston College Eagles and the UConn Huskies will meet at Fenway Park to play a football game and that much we know. What we did not have information on was the time and broadcast outlet for this game, until now. The CBS Sports Network will be the network to show the game on the air for the country to see. The time of the match up has been set as well 7 PM EST.
For the Huskies, this will be the first time they will have played a game on Kenmore Square, while for the Eagles, this is becoming old hat since this will be the second time in three years and the 77th overall. This game was originally scheduled to be on campus at UConn, however, the two schools agreed to move the game to Fenway and get some national exposer from it. Nothing like a football game in one the most historic baseball parks in November.
Boston College is undefeated against the Huskies, going 11-0-2. Their last meeting took place November 19 at Chesnutt Hill with BC winning 30-0. The Eagles have won six of the seven meetings at Alumni Stadium and in their last 10 victories over UConn, Boston College has outscored them by a 297-59 margin. Talk about blowout city.
On the sidelines, for the Huskies, this season will be Randy Edsall, who will be in his second stint with the program. In 2016 UConn went 3-9 on the season and 1-2 against teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference. They have losses to the Eagles as well to Syracuse, and a victory over Virginia.
For the Eagles, they will be trying to make it back to a bowl for the second straight year under Head Coach Steve Addazio. In 2016 BC went 7-6 overall and received an invite to and won the Quick and Lane Bowl in Detroit over Maryland 36-30.
