The 2026 NFL season brings plenty of new uniform options. Several AFC teams introduced major changes this year. The Tennessee Titans completely redesigned their uniforms and logo. The Baltimore Ravens also unveiled a new collection for 2026. Meanwhile, all four AFC South teams joined Nike’s Rivalries program. Those uniforms debuted on August 25. The NFL says each Rivalries design will remain for three seasons. That gives AFC fans plenty to discuss before the season begins. Some teams rely on timeless designs, while others embrace something new. Here is my ranking of all 16 AFC uniform collections for 2026.
- Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers remain my favorite AFC uniform collection. Their powder blue jerseys remain among football’s best designs. The gold bolts provide the perfect contrast against the powder blue. The navy elements also add enough balance without overwhelming the design. The Chargers also have strong white and navy combinations. Their overall uniform collection rarely misses. Sports Illustrated ranked Los Angeles first among all 32 NFL teams. The publication praised the powder blue jerseys and gold details. For me, the Chargers remain the AFC standard. Grade: A+
- Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore made one of the AFC’s biggest uniforms moves this year. The Ravens introduced their “Next Flight” collection. The redesign includes two new helmets. The “Darkness” helmet features black talon stripes and a two-tone Ravens logo. Baltimore also introduced “Midnight Purple” into its color palette. The jerseys feature Ravens wings around the collars. The pants also feature diagonal talon-inspired stripes. Most importantly, Baltimore changed enough without destroying its identity. The new collection still looks unmistakably like the Ravens. That balance earns Baltimore the second spot. Grade: A+
- Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati’s “New Stripes” remain one of the NFL’s best designs. The Bengals introduced the current uniforms in 2021. The orange, black, and white combinations provide plenty of flexibility. The White Bengal helmet also gives Cincinnati another outstanding option. The design creates an especially strong all-white combination. Sports Illustrated ranked Cincinnati fifth overall. The publication praised the team’s ability to mix jerseys and pants. The Bengals have created a modern identity without losing their signature stripes. Grade: A
- Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City proves that a team does not need constant changes. The Chiefs have maintained their iconic red and white identity for decades. The Arrowhead helmet remains one of football’s most recognizable pieces. The red jersey also looks outstanding with white pants. Kansas City does not need flashy alternatives. Its traditional look already carries enormous history. The Chiefs have used essentially the same core colors since moving to Kansas City. Sports Illustrated also ranked the Chiefs among the league’s strongest collections. Sometimes simplicity remains the best approach. Grade: A
- Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have perhaps the easiest uniform identity to recognize. Black and silver have defined the franchise for generations. The combination also works with virtually every matchup. The Raiders rarely need to make dramatic changes. Their uniforms have become part of the team’s overall mythology. Sports Illustrated ranked Las Vegas 14th overall. The publication noted the timeless quality of the team’s look. I place the Raiders higher because their consistency remains a major strength. Grade: A-
- Miami Dolphins
Miami’s aqua remains one of the NFL’s most distinctive colors. The Dolphins combine aqua, orange, and white in a way few teams can match. The color combination also fits the team’s South Florida identity perfectly. Miami’s current logo and uniforms date back to the 2013 rebrand. However, the team has continued making subtle adjustments. Sports Illustrated ranked Miami ninth overall. The publication specifically highlighted the aqua as the uniform’s defining feature. The Dolphins remain one of the AFC’s best-dressed teams. Grade: A-
- Houston Texans
Houston moved into another tier with its new Rivalries uniform. The Texans introduced an all-white design featuring H-Town Blue. The uniform also includes details inspired by Houston’s famous blue street tiles. The number font references the city’s “Be Someone” graffiti. The team also introduced a white helmet for the Rivalries set. That gives Houston an alternate with genuine local meaning. The Texans already had strong primary uniforms. Now, their overall collection has even more personality. Grade: A-
- Denver Broncos
Denver’s “Mile High” collection remains excellent. The Broncos introduced the current uniforms in 2024. The design includes several Colorado-inspired details. The sleeve cap features a mountain peak. The side details reference Colorado’s summit markers. The helmet also features a “5280” bumper. That number represents Denver’s elevation above sea level The Broncos also have an all-blue alternate and a strong throwback. Denver successfully connected its uniforms to its location. Grade: A-
- Tennessee Titans
Tennessee made a massive change in 2026. The Titans unveiled new uniforms, helmets, and a new logo. The design draws heavily from the franchise’s Oilers history. The home jersey features Titans blue with “TITANS” across the chest. The road jersey uses white with “TENNESSEE” across the chest. The new “6-String Stripe” celebrates Nashville’s musical heritage. The uniforms also feature a small “WE” tag inside the jersey. The new design looks sharp and carries meaningful details. However, the Rivalries uniform will add another layer to Tennessee’s collection. The Titans will debut that look against Jacksonville in Week 10. Grade: A-
- Buffalo Bills
Buffalo’s traditional uniforms remain extremely strong. The red, white, and royal blue combination works almost anywhere. The charging buffalo logo also remains one of the NFL’s best helmet designs. The Bills introduced a Rivalries uniform in 2025. That design remains part of their uniform lineup this season. Sports Illustrated praised Buffalo’s Rivalries look. However, the publication felt the overall collection needed another refresh. I still rank Buffalo inside the top 10. Grade: B+
- Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis has one of the NFL’s most traditional uniforms. The horseshoe logo remains instantly recognizable. The blue and white combination also creates a clean appearance. The Colts added a new Rivalries uniform for 2026. They named the design “Anvil Strike.” Indianapolis will debut the uniform against Houston on September 27. The new helmet features a metallic blue finish. The new alternate gives the Colts something more aggressive. Still, the traditional uniform remains the team’s biggest strength. Grade: B+
- Cleveland Browns
Cleveland deserves credit for returning to its roots. The Browns moved back toward their classic uniform look before the 2020 season. The design emphasizes brown, orange, and white. That simplicity works for Cleveland. The team does not need complicated patterns or excessive alternates. Its traditional identity remains closely connected to the franchise’s history. Sports Illustrated ranked Cleveland 27th overall. The publication still acknowledged the improvement from the previous redesign. I rate the Browns higher because classic football uniforms deserve some respect. Grade: B
- New England Patriots
New England’s current uniforms remain solid. The Patriots have used their modern navy and silver identity for years. Their red, white, and blue palette also connects well with the team’s history. The team added its Nor’Easter Rivalries collection in 2025. That uniform remains available during 2026. New England also has its popular Pat Patriot throwbacks. However, the primary uniforms lack some of the excitement found elsewhere. Grade: B
- Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh’s uniforms remain iconic despite limited changes. The black and gold combination immediately identifies the Steelers. The helmet also features one of the league’s most recognizable designs. Pittsburgh has maintained its primary look for decades. That consistency fits the franchise perfectly. However, the Steelers have fewer fresh options than some AFC rivals. Sports Illustrated ranked Pittsburgh 22nd overall. The publication noted the team’s mostly unchanged look. The Steelers remain classic, but they could use something new. Grade: B
- New York Jets
The Jets have some strong individual uniform pieces. Their traditional green and white look remains recognizable. Their white throwbacks also remain popular. However, the team’s overall uniform collection lacks consistency. The Jets joined the Rivalries program in 2025. That design remains part of their collection for 2026. Sports Illustrated ranked New York near the bottom of its overall list. The publication also criticized the current collection’s direction. For now, the Jets sit near the bottom of my AFC rankings. Grade: C+
- Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville finishes my ranking, but the Jaguars have something exciting coming. The team unveiled its 2026 Rivalries uniform on August 25. The design introduces a cream-colored base and the franchise’s first teal helmet. The uniform also features gold accents and iridescent details. Jaguar-print patterns appear throughout the design. The concept draws inspiration from Jacksonville’s “Bold City” identity. I like the creativity, but the design represents a major departure. Fans will need time to decide whether it works. The Jaguars will debut the uniform against Indianapolis during Week 8. That debut could quickly change my ranking. Grade: B

The AFC has plenty of excellent uniform collections in 2026. The Chargers remain my clear favorite because their colors work perfectly together. Baltimore also deserves credit for making meaningful changes without losing its identity. Cincinnati continues to benefit from its outstanding stripes. Kansas City and Las Vegas prove that classic designs can remain powerful. Meanwhile, the AFC South brings the newest uniform excitement. Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, and Tennessee all have fresh looks this season. The Titans probably made the biggest overall change. Baltimore also completely refreshed its uniform collection. Ultimately, uniform rankings always involve personal taste. Still, the AFC has plenty of options worth debating. For me, the Chargers remain on top. Their powder blue, gold, and navy combination simply looks difficult to beat.
