The United States has finalized its 2026 Solheim Cup team. Captain Angela Stanford now has her 12-player roster. The Americans will face Europe from September 11-13 at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. The roster combines proven veterans with several rising stars. It also includes two rookies who will experience the Solheim Cup for the first time. Meanwhile, Stanford brings valuable experience from her own playing career. She also served as an assistant captain during the Americans’ 2024 victory. World No. 1 Nelly Korda headlines the American roster. Korda earned her spot through the Solheim Cup points standings. She enters her fifth Solheim Cup appearance with a 10-5-1 career record.
Angel Yin also earned an automatic selection through the points standings. Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, and Auston Kim joined her. Lauren Coughlin, Allisen Corpuz, Andrea Lee, and Alison Lee completed the automatic qualifiers. Kim will make her Solheim Cup debut this year. She joins another rookie in Lindy Duncan. That gives Stanford two players entering their first Solheim Cup competition. Stanford then used her three captain’s picks to complete the roster. She selected Megan Khang, Rose Zhang, and Duncan. The choices added significant Solheim Cup experience alongside a fresh face. Khang will make her fifth consecutive Solheim Cup appearance. She also brings a strong history in the competition. Khang led the American team in scoring during the 2023 event.
Zhang also gives Stanford an experienced competitor. She will make her third Solheim Cup appearance in 2026. Her 2024 performance stands out as one of the team’s biggest strengths. Zhang went 4-0-0 during the 2024 Solheim Cup. None of her four matches reached the 17th hole. That performance helped establish her as one of America’s key players. Duncan brings a different story to the roster. The 35-year-old will make her Solheim Cup debut in the Netherlands. She also becomes the oldest American rookie since Nancy Scranton debuted in 2000. Duncan had held an automatic qualifying position for nearly two months. However, she dropped outside the qualifying spots after the Standard Portland Classic. Stanford ultimately rewarded her with a captain’s pick.
The decision gives Stanford an interesting mix of experience and youth. Korda provides star power at the top of the lineup. Khang and Zhang bring valuable match-play experience. Meanwhile, Kim and Duncan can provide an important spark. The Americans also enter the event as defending champions. They defeated Europe during the 2024 Solheim Cup in Virginia. That victory ended a seven-year American drought in the competition. Now, the challenge becomes even tougher. The Americans must travel to European soil for the 2026 event. The United States last won the Solheim Cup in Europe during the 2015 competition. The United States owns an 11-7-1 advantage in the all-time series. However, Europe has won or retained three of the last four editions. Therefore, Stanford’s team cannot afford to overlook its opponent.
Still, this American roster has plenty of reasons for optimism. Korda gives the team an elite leader. Zhang and Khang provide proven Solheim Cup performers. The remaining players add depth throughout the lineup. Now, the waiting ends and the real preparation begins. Stanford has her team, and the Americans know their mission. They want another Solheim Cup victory and their first European win since 2015. The 2026 Solheim Cup could provide another memorable chapter. For Team USA, the goal remains simple. Bring the trophy home again.
