The final Associated Press Top 25 poll before the College Football Playoff Selection Committee unveils its first ranking on Tuesday night is officially set, and the losses of three Top 10 teams have dramatically reshuffled the deck. While the top of the poll remains stable, the massive jumps and falls below them indicate a volatile CFP picture.

Major Movers and New Top 10 Faces

The biggest beneficiary of the chaos was the Big 12, which now places two teams in the Top 10 for the first time in two years.

BYU (8-0) Jumps to No. 8 (+2): The Cougars are the Big 12’s last undefeated team and are now positioned perfectly for the conference’s automatic CFP bid.
Texas Tech (8-1) Jumps to No. 9 (+4): A big road win over Kansas State pushed the Red Raiders into the Top 10. They face No. 8 BYU this weekend in a massive Big 12 showdown.
Notre Dame (6-2) Rises to No. 10 (+2): The Irish won a tight contest against Boston College, earning enough respect to return to the Top 10 for the first time since Week 3.
