After taking a break from highlighting the male players and flipping to a female there is one person who I just can’t forget. There is one player in the A-10 that scares me because of his ability, I don’t know if he is NBA caliber, but he could certainly play somewhere overseas. I am very surprised he hasn’t declared for the draft yet just to get his feet wet, he could play in a two-way contract to prepare.

Kellan Grady is a twenty-one-year-old Boston Native, he was born on September 11, 1997, to Rob and Danielle Grady. Currently, he is a 6-5 sophomore guard weighing in at 195 pounds. The sophomore had a very exceptional high school career at Northfield Mount Hermon. He was selected to 1st team-all-state, the Boston Globe all-scholastic team, and, he was named to the Boston Herald dream team. He was a two-time All-Star in High school.

The youngster had a ridiculous freshman year as he was selected the 2017-2018 Rookie of the Year. He proceeded to make second team all-conference in the A-10 at Davidson. He started all but one of the battles that he saw time in during his opening season. He scored an average of 18 points per game which led all conference freshman. Grady made half of the attempts from the floor, he made 80% of shots from the stripe.

The young man played in 32 games and in 29 of them, he scored double-digits. He hit 20+ points 11 times and 30 or more three times. He tallied an impressive 39 points in a triple OT win against the Bonnies. In that same game, Grady went 16-16 from the charity stripe making all of the 16 shots from the line set a school record.

You do not have to be a professional athlete to hold a standard. In my humble opinion, he is the benchmark of success in the A-10 bracket.
