WWE Raw delivered another major chapter in the Bloodline story on August 10. This show came from Norfolk, Virginia, with several important storylines moving forward. The biggest development came in the main event. Jey Uso faced Solo Sikoa in a high-stakes family showdown. Jey entered the night with a clear goal. He wanted to defeat Solo and deliver him to Roman Reigns. That challenge created serious consequences for Solo. Jey promised to bring him back to the Bloodline if he lost. However, Solo refused to make things easy for his cousin. He attacked Jey with plenty of aggression throughout their match. Solo even paid tribute to his father, Rikishi, during the fight. He used a memorable dance taunt before continuing his attack.
Eventually, Jey found himself in trouble. Then Jimmy Uso changed everything. Jimmy interfered at the right moment and helped Jey gain control. Jey then hit Solo with a Spear and Uso Splash combination. That combination gave Jey the victory. As a result, Solo now faces a major confrontation with Roman Reigns. Penta Advances in World Title Tournament. Raw also began the tournament to determine Roman Reigns’ next challenger. Penta faced Laredo Kid in the opening round. The match featured plenty of fast-paced action between two talented luchadores. Laredo Kid pushed Penta throughout the contest. However, one missed aerial attack changed the match.
Penta capitalized immediately. He delivered the Mexican Destroyer and secured the victory. The win sends Penta into the tournament semifinals. He will face the winner of Psycho Clown versus La Parka. The tournament will determine who challenges Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE plans that title match for the September 14 edition of Raw. That show will take place at AAA Triplemanía in Mexico City. Austin Theory Defeats Akira Tozawa. Austin Theory also picked up a victory over Akira Tozawa. Tozawa entered the match looking for revenge. The Vision previously attacked Otis, giving Tozawa extra motivation.
Theory controlled enough of the match to secure the win. He finished Tozawa with the Off Switch. The Vision then looked ready to continue the attack. However, Oba Femi suddenly arrived. Femi stopped The Vision from continuing their assault. He then focused his attention on Bron Breakker. The two powerhouses faced each other again. WWE officials quickly separated them before the situation became even more dangerous. Dragon Lee Scores a Big Win. Dragon Lee also made a statement against Dominik Mysterio. The two wrestlers met in a non-title match. Dominik entered with frustration after missing the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Instead, Dragon Lee controlled the contest when it mattered most. Both competitors showcased their aerial abilities. However, Lee ultimately won the battle with the Operation Dragon.
The loss continued Dominik’s struggles inside the ring. Unfortunately for Lee, his celebration did not last long. Big Cass attacked Dragon Lee after the match. Je’Von Evans then tried to help his fellow wrestler. Cass attacked Evans as well. That continued his aggressive run following his return to WWE. IYO SKY Joins Sol Ruca. The women’s division also produced one of Raw’s biggest surprises. Sol Ruca needed a partner for her match against Judgment Day. She ultimately received a major surprise. IYO SKY joined Ruca for the tag team matchup. They faced Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The Judgment Day duo controlled the early stages of the contest. However, Ruca and IYO eventually turned the momentum around.
Ruca delivered a spectacular sequence late in the match. She reversed a Pop Rox into a superkick. That move created the opening for her finishing maneuver. Ruca then hit the Sol Snatcher to secure the victory. The result gave Ruca and IYO an important win. It also created more problems for Judgment Day. Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer Target Liv Morgan. The Women’s World Championship picture also became more complicated. Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer both targeted champion Liv Morgan. Neither challenger wanted to give Morgan an easy escape. However, their shared attack created an unexpected problem.
Lynch and Vaquer got in each other’s way while pursuing Morgan. That allowed Morgan to escape both attacks. The situation could create tension between Lynch and Vaquer. Both women clearly want the Women’s World Championship. For now, Morgan remains champion. Yet she has two dangerous challengers coming after her. Raw Sets Up Several Major Stories. The August 10 episode moved several WWE storylines forward. Jey Uso now has Solo Sikoa heading toward Roman Reigns. Meanwhile, Penta moved closer to a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity. Oba Femi and Bron Breakker also appear headed toward another confrontation. Dragon Lee’s victory created another issue with Big Cass. Meanwhile, IYO SKY and Sol Ruca scored an important tag-team victory.
The women’s championship picture also became more crowded. Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer both have their sights on Liv Morgan. Overall, Raw focused heavily on setting up future matches. The Bloodline story once again stole the spotlight. Jey Uso’s victory could have major consequences for Solo Sikoa. Now, the question becomes what Roman Reigns will do with Solo. That answer could shape the next chapter of the Bloodline saga.
