Friday night in the WNBA gave us another juggernaut performance from the Indiana Fever, another strong outing from Angel Reece, and frontcourt dominance from the Mystics.

Indiana Fever 112, Portland Fire 98

The Indiana Fever (19–10) put on an offensive clinic at Moda Center, capturing their fifth straight victory with a 112–98 triumph over the Portland Fire.

Clark Makes History: Caitlin Clark delivered her fourth career triple-double (26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists), dictating the tempo from the opening tip. She got going early with nine first-quarter points—capped by a buzzer-beating three-pointer—and keyed a 24–7 run in the second quarter to give Indiana a 56–47 halftime lead.

Third-Quarter Explosion: Kelsey Mitchell poured in 26 points on the night, combining with Monique Billings (15 points, 7 rebounds, 11 third-quarter points) as the Fever outscored Portland 34–25 in the third frame to blow the game open.

Finishing the Job: Makayla Timpson (15 points) added six key points in the fourth quarter to prevent any late comeback attempt by the Fire.

Atlanta Dream 98, Seattle Storm 89

At Gateway Center Arena, the Atlanta Dream (18–10) held off a furious fourth-quarter rally by the Seattle Storm (6–25) to earn a 98–89 victory, marking their fifth consecutive win.

Reese Breaks Franchise Record: Angel Reese was a force inside, racking up 21 points and 13 rebounds for her 19th double-double of the season. Reese snatched six offensive rebounds, bringing her total to 142 on the year and surpassing Brionna Jones (136) for the most offensive rebounds in a single season in Dream franchise history—achieving the feat in just 27 games.

Balanced Support: Naz Hillmon added 18 points, Allisha Gray chipped in 16, and Brionna Jones contributed 14 points off the bench. Jordin Canada directed the floor with 10 points and 9 assists.

Closing the Door: Seattle cut a 13-point deficit down to 92–88 with 43.4 seconds remaining behind Natisha Hiedeman’s game-high 23 points. However, Allisha Gray calmly sank two clutch free throws to ice the win. Dominique Malonga posted a double-double for Seattle with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

Washington Mystics 81, Dallas Wings 75

In the nation’s capital, the Washington Mystics (16–12) earned an 81–75 victory over the Dallas Wings (18–11) to secure their first four-game winning streak since September 2020.

Frontcourt Dominance: Shakira Austin delivered a standout performance, posting a season-high 28 points and 10 rebounds. Kiki Iriafen provided muscle down low with 22 points and 9 rebounds.

Flawless Free-Throw Execution: Cotie McMahon hit Washington’s final field goal with 2:50 remaining to make it 71–68. From there, the Mystics closed out the game by shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line in the final minutes. Sonia Citron finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists, including a 10-for-10 mark from the charity stripe.

Dallas Effort: Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 23 points, while Arike Ogunbowale scored 20 points (14 in the first half) as Dallas dropped its third game in four outings.
