WWE has officially finalized the announced cards for both nights of SummerSlam 2026. The event returns as a two-night premium live event for the second straight year. SummerSlam takes place on Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fans will see 12 announced matches across the weekend, featuring several championship bouts, grudge matches, and long-awaited returns.
CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes Headlines Night One
Night, One closes with Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk defending his title against Cody Rhodes. Their rivalry gained momentum after Punk captured the championship and Rhodes immediately pursued another opportunity at the top prize.
Tension between both stars continued to grow during recent episodes of SmackDown. Each man believes he deserves to lead WWE into its next era. Their face-to-face confrontations created one of SummerSlam’s biggest attractions. Now, both veterans enter Minneapolis knowing only one will leave as Undisputed WWE Champion.
Liv Morgan Defends Against Iyo Sky
Liv Morgan puts the Women’s World Championship on the line against Iyo Sky. Morgan enters the match after holding the championship for 100 days. Despite that impressive milestone, this marks her first televised title defense during the reign.
Sky earned the opportunity after remaining one of WWE’s most dangerous competitors. Her speed and creativity always make her a difficult opponent. Consequently, Morgan faces one of her toughest championship tests despite enjoying a lengthy title run.
Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar Settle Their Rivalry Inside Hell in a Cell
Oba Femi battles Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell after months of unfinished business.
Their rivalry began at WrestleMania 42 when Femi defeated Lesnar. After that loss, Lesnar removed his gloves and appeared ready to retire. However, he shocked WWE fans by returning later and defeating Femi in a rematch. Since then, both men have searched for a decisive winner. Therefore, WWE placed them inside Hell in a Cell where outside interference cannot decide the outcome.
Gunther Faces Nick Aldis in a Special Attraction
Gunther meets Nick Aldis in one of the weekend’s most unique matches.
Aldis joined WWE in 2023 as SmackDown General Manager instead of an active wrestler. Before arriving, he built successful careers in both TNA Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance. WWE repeatedly hinted that Aldis would eventually wrestle again. Now, he returns to the ring against one of WWE’s most dominant competitors. Gunther gives Aldis an enormous challenge in his official WWE in-ring debut.
Family Feuds Collide in Six-Man Tag Match
The Usos and Jacob Fatu team together against Royce Keys, LA Knight, and Solo Sikoa.
The rivalry centers around ongoing Bloodline tensions that continue to divide former allies and family members. Meanwhile, LA Knight joined the fight after developing issues with Sikoa and his associates. As a result, six competitors enter SummerSlam looking to settle several personal scores inside one explosive match.
Fatal Influence Meets the Bellas and Paige
Fatal Influence, consisting of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid, battles The Bella Twins and Paige in a six-woman tag team match.
Fatal Influence recently captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, those titles will not be defended because this match features six competitors on each side. Instead, the focus shifts toward pride as the current champions battle three of WWE’s most recognizable women’s stars.
Roman Reigns Defends Against Seth Rollins

Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton, and one mystery competitor compete in a Ladder Match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship.
The match became necessary because Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley remains sidelined with an injury. Meanwhile, speculation continues surrounding the mystery entrant. Fans expect either a major WWE return or the debut of a star from another promotion. Regardless of the surprise, every competitor must climb the ladder to claim the interim championship.
Finn Bálor Battles Sami Zayn for a Future Title Opportunity
Finn Bálor faces Sami Zayn in a match to determine the next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Zayn briefly captured the WWE Championship at Night of Champions. Unfortunately for him, his reign lasted only nine days before CM Punk won the title. Zayn then demanded inclusion in the Punk versus Rhodes championship match. Instead, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce awarded him this opportunity against Bálor. Bálor earned his place after winning a Fatal 4-Way Match, making this another high-stakes contest.
Trick Williams Defends the United States Championship
United States Champion Trick Williams defends his title against the returning Baron Corbin.
Corbin shocked WWE fans by returning to the company and immediately targeting Williams. He attacked the champion twice, making his intentions perfectly clear. Therefore, Williams now must defend his championship against a motivated veteran eager to make an unforgettable return.
Penta Defends the Intercontinental Championship
Penta defends the Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable.
Their story stretches back to Gable’s earlier loss against Penta. That defeat inspired Gable to reinvent himself as El Grande Americano while embracing lucha libre traditions. Now, Gable returns under his own identity and challenges Penta in his hometown of Minneapolis. The championship gives both competitors even greater motivation to settle their long-running rivalry.
Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio Fight for $100,000
Danhausen faces Dominik Mysterio with $100,000 on the line.
The unusual rivalry started when Liv Morgan offered Danhausen $100,000 to place a curse on Oba Femi before Femi’s match against Mysterio. Danhausen rejected the offer, stole the money from Judgment Day, and instead cursed the faction. Weeks of retaliation and mind games followed. Now, both competitors finally meet in the ring with the $100,000 prize waiting for the winner.
SummerSlam 2026 promises one of WWE’s biggest weekends of the year. Every announced match carries meaningful storylines and significant stakes.
