\nThe River Hawks would sweep the season series against the Retrievers with a win. It would also mark the team’s fourth win in the last five meetings between the squads.<\/p>\n
\nAllin Blunt<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0is averaging 11.0 points per game to pace the squad.\u00a0Max Brooks<\/a><\/dfn>, who adds 10.1 points, boasts a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game and 49 blocks.\u00a0Justin Faison<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0adds 52 assists, while\u00a0Everette Hammond<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0totals 30 steals.<\/p>\n
\nJohn Hall<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0notched a season-high 20 points in an 87-85 heartbreaker for UMass Lowell that was decided in the final seconds at Stony Brook on Feb. 9. The game was truly a back-and-forth battle, featuring a total of 10 tied scores and 11 lead changes in the second half alone. Down the stretch,\u00a0Allin Blunt<\/a><\/dfn> converted on a three-point play to give the River Hawks the lead for the final time with seven seconds on the clock. However, the Seawolves’ Anthony Roberts, who finished with a game-high 28 points, made the most of his team’s last possession as he executed a full-court drive-through traffic for the and-1 to seal the outcome.<\/p>\n
\nJohn Hall<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0shot an impressive 81.8% (9-11) from the floor at Stony Brook on Feb. 9 to lead five double-digit scorers for the River Hawks. He set a new personal best with nine field goals en route to a season-high 20 points.<\/p>\n
\nThe River Hawks, who have ranked in the top two in the America East in shooting percentage for the previous three years, turned in their strongest shooting performance against a DI opponent this year at Stony Brook on Feb. 9 (52.8%). The team has shot over 50% in its last two outings and is currently third in the league with a 44.4% clip. Max Brooks<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0is pacing the conference, shooting 62.8% from the field.<\/p>\n
\nThe River Hawks’ shooting has ignited from long range as of late, averaging 49.0% (25-51) from beyond the arc during the three-game stretch from Feb. 2-7.<\/p>\n
\nUMass Lowell logged a season-high 17 offensive boards against Hartford on Feb. 7. The team has been strong on the offensive glass all season, leading America East in offensive rebounds per game (11.3).<\/p>\n
