The Cougars are enjoying a very successful campaign in the American Athletic Conference. With a record of 19-1, this team is definitely on pace for a spot in the big dance. However, what exactly is leading to this amazing start?

Depth. Not super hyped high school players, not pedigree head coaching, but good overall roster depth. The depth by class is as follows:

Freshman: 4

Sophomores: 3

Juniors: 3

Seniors: 4

While four seniors sounds rather small, this roster has a nice balance of young and veteran players. However, the real kicker that makes the Cougars even more dangerous? Everyone on this roster can step up when needed. Here are some categories and the leading Cougars:

Corey Davis Jr.: 15.1 PPG

Armoni Brooks: 14.5 PPG

Galen Robinson Jr.: 8.3 PPG

Armoni Brooks: 6.5 RPG

Breaon Brady: 4.9 RPG

Rebounds Per Game
