CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. \u2013 The BC baseball team collected a 6-2, series-opening win at No. 21 Virginia\u00a0on Friday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0night at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park. It marked the first time the Eagles (7-8, 2-2 ACC) beat the Cavaliers (11-7, 1-3 ACC) in Charlottesville in program history.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Senior\u00a0Jake Palomaki<\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0led the way for BC at the plate with a 4-for-5 night and two RBIs. He extended his team-long hit streak to nine games and stole his 47th<\/sup>\u00a0career base, tying for third in BC record books.<\/p>\n
