2018 NFL Most Improved Teams

It’s that time of the year. College football is beginning and the NFL season is right around the corner. So, as usual, we all have to have our NFL predictions whether that be who makes the playoffs or who wins the Super Bowl. These are my predictions on the most improved teams from last year to this year in the NFL.

Team 1: The New York Giants

It’s hard to look at the most improved team from last year to this year and not have the Giants on your list. The Giants hired Pat Shurmur, coming from the Minnesota Vikings as the offensive coordinator. The G-Men finished at 3-13 with a team full of talent. They added the highly talented Saquan Barkley and just signed Odell Beckham to the biggest contract extension any receiver has had.

Everyone talks about the offense but don’t count this defense out. Last year the defense finished second to last in allowing yards per game with 373.2. Additions like Alec Ogletree, B.J. Hill, and RJ McIntosh.

There is talk about the end coming near for veteran and two-time Super Bowl quarterback Eli Manning. I really feel that with an offensive line to protect him and the addition of Barkley, we could still some good out of him.

Look for this team to improve their record to an 8-8 season. The NFC is very heavily stacked so I don’t see them making the playoffs just yet.

Team 2: The Indianapolis Colts

It’s clear that this team can’t really function without its star quarterback. Now that Andrew Luck is supposedly healthy, this team could be what a lot of people are expecting. T.Y. Hilton is one of the best receivers but he’s extremely quiet. The running game could improve and the Colts are doing what they can to improve that.

The defense is so-so. They finished 30th in the NFL in points allowed per game with 367.1. Well, they couldn’t be any worse, right? We can only hope. This defense should improve despite not having really big names.

This team finished 4-12 with Jacoby Brissett. This team could finish second in the AFC South with a record of 9-7 in a division that can still be one by any of its teams.

Team 3: The Cleveland Browns

We’ve all been watching Hard Knocks and if that doesn’t get you fired up for this Brown team, well, you must be a Steelers fan.

This offense is extremely talented. Tyrod Taylor, Baker Mayfield, Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, David Njoki, and Carlos Hyde. I mean so many weapons. This offense is too good to not have one winning game this season.

This defense is also very talented. Jabrill Peppers, TJ Carrie, Myles Garrett,  Christian Kirksey, Carl Nassib and Denzel Ward are a few names to look for.

This team is really good if all this talent can actually go together as a team. The Browns will no longer be the joke of the NFL.

This team will and should be a six to eight-win team. The Cleveland Browns will be the most improved team in the 2018 season.
