NFL Week 8 Power Rankings: Who’s #1 Now

NFL Week 8 Power Rankings: Who’s #1 Now

We’re getting near the midway point of the 2017 NFL season and it’s anyone’s league right now.  It’s not like the Patriots are a given to go back to the Super Bowl and the 1972 Dolphins aren’t on the edge of their seats waiting for an unbeaten team to fall.  I expect the week 8 power rankings to look very similar to week 16 when January rings in the new year.  As the Chiefs lost their 2nd game of the season they may have lost their #1 ranking.  So who’s the best team in the NFL now and should we suspect the top 10 will stay in the top 10 from here on out?

Last week we saw the Patriots, Steelers, and Rams on the rise in the power rankings.  They still are in week 8 but who continues to drop?  The defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons are headed in the opposite direction along with fellow NFC South rivals in Tampa Bay and Carolina.  But surprisingly the New Orleans Saints are back in business with their future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees.  Perhaps playing his best football in the past five seasons as he turns 39 years of age in January.  Let’s check out this week’s “Power 32” segment and feel free to leave your opinion.
