Power 32 has been my “segment” on radio shows and writing sports articles since 2010. It’s one of my favorite posts to publish because everyone has an opinion and people love to debate about which teams belong where on the totem pole of NFL hierarchy. We all know my list and everyone else’s rankings will change weekly. I try not to take team records as the #1 catalyst for their spot on Power 32. You have to look at the big picture like injuries, schedule, team personnel, recent history and other variables.
But I’ll say now that the Patriots are clearly not the best of the bunch as they’ve been stiff-armed in the latter part of the top 10 by a rookie, a veteran coach and perhaps the most solid team in football all around.
I usually don’t start until week 4 because I feel that after a quarter of the season most teams begin to show their true colors. But I’m anxious and I love it! So without further ado, here are The Sports Prophet’s power rankings going into week four of the 2017 NFL season.
