Waiver Wire Pickups – MLB players to keep your eye on

Looking to improve your mlb lineup?  The major league baseball season is young enough that it can still happen.  The fantasy waiver wire is full of players that have the potential to impact your roster in a great way.  Some players require a bit of patience.  Others could make an impact from the beginning.  Here are a few players to keep your eyes on.

Eddie Butler

No longer a Rockies starter, Eddie Butler has been dominant in Triple A and has since being called up to the Cubs.  Butler is currently owned in about six percent of CBSSports.com leagues.  His strength home-run ability make him an appealing pickup.

Hansel Robles

Robles ownership is bound to go up due to Jeurys Familia’s.  Now is the time to add him to your lineup.  He has the potential to be a full time set up man and could always end up in a closer role based on how the Mets staff performs.  Robles is owned in about ten percent of leagues and is worth the pickup at this time.

Jose Urena

The Marlins rotation is clearly not the best and Urena could be a lock for the 5th spot in the rotation.  Urena has great control and a three-pitch arsenal which makes him very appealing.  He is only owned in six percent of leagues and is worth adding to a roster at this time.

Jorge Soler

Soler has gotten off to a slow start, but that is in large part to recovering from an injury that cost him nearly 30 games.  KC doesn’t have players like Darryl Motley or Jermaine Dye to fall back on so he should get lots of opportunity in KC.  He is worth stashing on your roster for future purposes.
