Boston College Holds Annual Pro Day for NFL Scouts

Impressive performances across the board for the 2017 BC NFL Draft Class

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College football program held its annual Pro Day Tuesday at the Yawkey Athletics Center and inside the bubble at Alumni Stadium. Twenty-two NFL teams were in attendance as defensive back John Johnson, linebacker Matt Milano, defensive end Kevin Kavalec, quarterback Patrick Towles, running back Myles Willis and wide receiver David Dudeck went through various combine drills.

 

All of the times listed are unofficial, hand-timed results. Each NFL team recorded their own times during the Pro Day event.

 

Johnson let his combine results stand for the majority of the drills, but did jump 10’0” in the broad jump and ran an 11.41 60-yard shuttle. Johnson checked in at 205 pounds and performed in the position drills as well for the scouts.

 

Milano went through position drills only as he had some left hamstring tightness. Milano was measured at 6’0” and weighed 222 pounds.

 

Kavalec tipped the scales at 249 pounds and was measured at 6’2”. The Ohio native ran a 4.76 and 4.75 in the 40-yard dash and recorded a vertical jump of 32”. Kavalec finished with 18 reps on the bench press, 9’11” in the broad jump, 4.42 in the 20-yard shuttle, 11.95 in the 60-yard shuttle and 7.34 seconds in the three-cone drill.

 

Towles was measured at 6-4 7/8 and 241 pounds. The quarterback ran a 4.59 and 4.61 40-yard dash. In addition, Towles ended the day with a 33.5-inch vertical jump, 10’0” broad jump, 4.49 20-yard shuttle and a 7.29 three-cone drill.

 

Willis, who checked in a 5’8” and 192 pounds, ran the fastest times of the day in the 40-yard dash at 4.50 and 4.53 seconds. Willis finished with 17 reps of 225 in the bench press, recorded a vertical jump of 36 inches and 10’3” in the broad jump and ran the 20-yard shuttle in 4.24, the 60-yard shuttle in 11.40 and timed at 6.91 seconds in the three-cone drill.

 

Dudeck was the final participant of the day. Checking in at 5’9” and 195 pounds, Dudeck benched 15 reps of 225 and had the best vertical jump of the day at 37.5 inches. The New Jersey native ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 and 4.70 seconds, recorded a broad jump of 9’7”, ran the three-cone drill in 6.88 seconds and timed at 4.11 in the 20-yard shuttle and 11.21 in the 60-yard shuttle.
