Sidney Crosby Can’t Stop Scoring

It’s been no secret this season that Sidney Crosby has been able to find the back of the net. His impressive goal scoring record of 26 goals in 32 appearances has launched him atop the NHL leading scorer list. December was another successful month for the center, as he equaled his November best of 11 goals scored.

Consistency is Key

Crosby has been fairly consistent in terms of goal scoring, he only has three games in which he netted two goals. The other 23 goals have come in single goal games. His presence on the power play has been a big part of his consistency, as he has scored nine times on the man advantage.

The Canadian star has scored in a variety of ways this season. From deflections to one-timers, there has been plenty of highlights from Crosby. It’s not hard to see why he is leading the league in scoring based on his highlight reel goals this season. Here are a few examples of ways he’s found the back of the net.

Looking Ahead

The Pittsburgh Penguins still have over 40 games remaining, and Crosby has the chance to set a new career best for goals in a season. After being plagued by concussion issues, the chance is at hand to produce a memorable season. He is trailed by the likes of Auston Matthews and Patrik Laine, who have both been nothing short of stellar in their rookie seasons. However, it’s hard to see anyone catching Crosby down the line if he continues his form. This could be a year to remember for Crosby fans.
