The Strength Of Ten: Week 9 NFL Power Rankings

This week we are beyond late with the release of the rankings so therefore I present to you the abbreviated version of the Week 9 NFL Power Rankings

1. New England Patriots (7-1)
LAST WEEK: #1

Are we even surprised at this point? Brady. Belichick. Boom!!
2. Dallas Cowboys (6-1)
LAST WEEK: #2

Dak Prescott won a game where he actually didn’t play well till the very end. That bodes well for Dallas moving forward.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (5-2)
LAST WEEK: #5

Sneaky quiet under the radar AFC contender.
4. Denver Broncos (6-2)
LAST WEEK: #6

Trevor Siemien has actually played well in recent weeks. He’s not Peyton Manning, but any way to take pressure off their dominant defense is a plus positive.
5. Seattle Seahawks (4-2-1)
LAST WEEK: #4

Still feel confident about this team moving forward, but that offensive line continues to concern me as we move into November.
6. Oakland Raiders (6-2)
LAST WEEK: #7

I’m sure Raider fans are pissed that they aren’t higher in these rankings, but they have a below average secondary and discipline is still an issue (23 penalties this past Sunday). Derek Carr is my Midseason MVP this far.
7. Atlanta Falcons (5-3)
LAST WEEK: #10

Big win over Green Bay that would’ve otherwise derailed their season. Do I trust the Falcons? No. But I still like where this team is going.
8. Philadelphia Eagles (4-3)
LAST WEEK: #8

The Iggles are still lingering. Worth noting that they have one of the five best “Front 7’s” in all of football.
9. Minnesota Vikings (5-2)
LAST WEEK: #3

The Vikes are in free fall for mainly two reasons:

1. Injuries to their offensive line.
2. They were never competitive in either of their two straight losses.

I do think they will figure things out moving forward and stabilize, but I am now convinced they are no longer an NFC elite.
10. Green Bay Packers (4-3)
LAST WEEK: UNRANKED

Couldn’t make a case for another team to slide into the Top 10. Aaron Rodgers played better in recent weeks. Packers can steal the NFC North if they get healthier in the coming weeks and stay pace with a slipping Minnesota.
