Dolphins Miller, Misi, Questionable Sunday

The Detroit Lions have the second best running defense in all of the NFL. So if Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller doesn’t play on Sunday, it will be an even bigger challenge to run the football.

Miller is questionable to play in Detroit with a shoulder injury. If the third-year player can’t play, either Daniel Thomas or rookie Damien Williams would get the start.

Not only is Miller listed as questionable, Koa Misi also may not play on Sunday. Misi has been in and out of the Dolphins lineup all season long with an ankle injury.

Earl Mitchell (abdomen), Jimmy Wilson (hamstring) and Kelvin Sheppard (hip/groin) are also questionable to play against the Lions.

Left guard  Daryn Colledge is listed as doubtful with a back injury. He missed last Sunday game against the San Diego Chargers. If Colledge cannot play, second-year player Dallas Thomas would likely get the start.

Second-string tight end Dion Sims is out for the second straight week with a toe injury. Sims has seven catches for 116 yards and touchdown for the season.

As for the Lions, running back Reggie Bush (ankle) and wide receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) are both listed as probable and are expected to play on Sunday.

Defensive tackle Nick Fairley has been ruled out with a knee injury.

All of the tight ends for the Lions are banged up as Joseph Fauria (ankle) and Brandon Pettigrew (foot) are questionable. Rookie Eric Ebron is doubtful to play with a hamstring injury.
