NBA Season Preview

Old faces in new places, old faces coming back from injury to take another shot at an NBA championship. Up and coming young players looking to breakout into superstardom.

Do the Los Angeles Lakers have reason to rejoice with the return of the “Black Mamba” that is Kobe Bryant? Can Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls rejoin his team and be back to the form that won him that MVP award (ONLY other to win it NOT named Lebron James) over the last several season.

Will the San Antonio Spurs continue their dynasty play that through the regular season seems controversial and boring, come playoff time is some of the prettiest team basketball the world ever did see. Will the new “Big-3” of Lebron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in Cleveland gel right away or will they have their struggles? Will Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis continue to exciting play from the World Champions and make himself a household name?

Will first-year coaches Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors and Derek Fisher of the New York Knicks pick up the ball and coach their teams to playoff runs or will their minds be in a state of “killer crossovers” of confusion and panic? Will Jason Kidd succeed or fail and fail miserably with the Milwaukee Bucks as he departed his old team the New Jersey Nets in a very ugly fashion. Will double-duty help or hurt the new President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Stan Van Gundy for the Detroit Pistons struggling franchise? Will President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers bring the light back to the Staples Center that was tainted badly by former owner Donald Sterling.

Who wins the NBA Rookie of the Year? Will it be Minnesota Timberwolves (traded from CLE) Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker of the Milwaukee Bucks, Julius Randle of the Los Angeles Lakers or can Joel Embiid come back from his back and knee injuries to win the award?

Does Lebron James repeat as MVP or does Kevin Durant take that next step in his quest to be the best and win his first? Or does another win the MVP, someone like Golden State Warrior’s Steph Curry or New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony or the previously mentioned Anthony Davis?

New faces in new places. Old faces making their returns. Young guns hungry to break into superstardom, that is the beauty of the NBA. Over the next couple weeks we shall breakdown each division, team by team, make our predictions as to where they will finish, who will be in the NBA playoffs, NBA Finals and NBA Champions for the 2014-2015 season AND will be making predictions as to individual awards winners.
