Against All Odds: NCAA/NFL Picks

After a one year hiatus, Pittsburgh SportsNation’s Against All Odds has returned, as your favorite opinionated Pittsburgh sports guy, takes on the guy who gave me my love of sports, my dad, (MJD) Mike Drakulich Sr!

Each week we will pick ten games total, five of which will be NCAA football games and five NFL match-ups. Since this is a Pittsburgh based column, three out the five NCAA picks will feature, if they are playing, Pitt, Penn State, and West Virginia. One of our NFL picks will always include the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hey, I report on them, what do you expect?

Neither of us claim to be Vegas Spread Experts, so don’t go out dropping a Benjamin Franklin on these games and expecting 100% accuracy, but believe me, we can hold our own. If it were that easy, Vegas would be bankrupt!

During the 2012 NFL/NCAA Season, including Bowl Games and the completion of the Super Bowl, I finished a respectable 109-95-2. Not to complain, but I should’ve been 110-94-2, as one of those games was the infamous Replacement Refs game in which Seattle robbed Green Bay by way of a heinous push-off in the end zone, resulting in a victory for Seattle that should never have been. But, as they say, that’s how the cookie crumbles. Only the final result matters when it comes to betting!

So without any further ado, let’s get started.
