Fantasy Flash Week 13: Starts and sits

Starts: (outside of top 10 players of that position):

QBs

Josh McCown – He’s been pretty consistent in Jay Cutler’s place and that should continue not only this week, but also next week if Cutler isn’t back. Start him with confidence. It could be a 3 TD week against the pitiful Minnesota defense.

Andy Dalton – It is well known that QBs have good passing games against the Chargers. Dalton is the type of QB that usually does very bad against good defenses, but very good against bad defenses. This should be a minimum 2 TD game for him.

RBs

CJ Spiller – Here’s a name you probably haven’t seen in a while. He should be completely healthy after their bye last week and he’s going against an Atlanta defense that is just playing horrible right now. He’s got some great playoff matchups for the rest of the year.

Andre Brown – Keep riding this guy. He’s got fresh legs and the Giants are using him. He can be counted on for 80-120 yards every week with a score every once in a while. He also has solid matchups from now till week 16.

WRs

Harry Douglas – It’s apparent now that the Falcons have forgotten how to play football.  However, the 1 bright spot is that Harry Douglas has shown he may become a starting WR for them. That’s not good news for Roddy White, but it’s a “what have you done for me lately” type of league.

Jordy Nelson – It looks like Matt Flynn will start for Green Bay on Thanksgiving. The last time Flynn started for GB, he threw for a franchise record 480 yards and 6 TDs. Nelson had 9 catches on 15 targets for 162 yards and 3 TDs. Ironically, it was also against Detroit.

TEs

Jordan Reed – The Skins obviously missed Reed last week when they could barely get a 1st down against the 49ers on Monday. He should be cleared from his concussion to face the Giants, who just gave up 2 TDs to Jason Witten.

Sits:

QBs

Russell Wilson – I’ve been saying for a long time that Wilson is a better real QB than a fantasy QB. Don’t get me wrong, in the right matchup, he can produce, but I expect him to have an uninspiring game against a pretty good Saints defense.

Andrew Luck – Where has this guy gone? All of a sudden, over the last 3 weeks, he’s gotten 2 TDs and 4 INTs. Maybe they need to throw more, maybe they just lack offensive weapons, maybe it’s the offensive line, but they are crumbling before our eyes.

RBs

Eddie Lacy – Detroit is pretty good against RBs. He also may not be completely healthy after leaving the game at points of last week’s game. He should still get a heavy workload before GB decides to attack the weak Lion’s secondary.

Alfred Morris – Washington is a mess right now. It is definitely not the fault of Morris. Almost every game, you look and he’s averaging 4-5 yards per carry, but because they are down early, he can’t get the 20-25 carries that he got last year. Expect another low usage effort from him.

WRs

DeSean Jackson – This is 1 of the rare weeks that Jackson will be covered by someone who is close to being s fast as him. Patrick Peterson is one of the young top CBs in the game and we’ve already seen that Foles and Cooper seem to have the connection.

Vincent Jackson – I always seem to downgrade everyone that faces the Carolina defense. Even though they had a below average game to their standards, it was mostly because of the 1 deep bomb over their head to Wallace. After that, the clamps were applied.

TEs

Antonio Gates – I love Gates as a player, but he is starting to get to the end of his road. He is facing a team that defends TEs well and he isn’t forced the ball as much as before Keenan Allen emerged as Rivers new favorite target, look elsewhere.

That was your Fantasy Football Flash Week 13 info.
