Fantasy Flash Week 11: Starts and sits

Starts: (outside of top 10 players of that position):

Robert Griffin III – I recommended Griffin last week saying it was do or die for him and he produced with 3 TDs. Now it’s time to keep riding the hot train and go with him again. I said weeks ago that RG3 had a great 2nd half schedule and it’s kicking in now.

Nick Foles – If you look at Foles over his last 10 starts, he has 21 TDs and 2 INTs, those are Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers type numbers. This is the time of the year when you look at the numbers, not the name. Foles is a top 5 type QB right now.

Ray Rice – There comes a point in a veteran’s career when he starts to slow down, this may be that point for Rice after years and years of high amount of carries. However, he’s also a prideful player and in the right matchup, he’s going to right run wild. This is the perfect setting for him to break loose.

Ryan Mathews – You start this guy when he has the right matchup. If you saw any part of Monday Night’s game, the Bucs were gashing the rush defense of the Dolphins. Miami is in a bad place right now and team will take advantage of their emotional letdown.

Pierre Garcon – The combination of Griffin to Garcon should be on display again this week. Garcon had 7 catches for 119 and a TD last week and that gives him 2 straight weeks of over 100 yards. I think we’ll be chalking up #3 this week against a weak Philly secondary.

Antonio Brown – Speaking of bad secondaries, Detroit’s has also been giving up loads of points to WRs this year, 3rd most of any team. Brown is coming off a 100 yard game and should continue his hot streak as Big Ben’s most reliable WR.

Antonio Gates – Even though Miami has been able to shut down WRs on the outside, they have had trouble in the middle of their defense. Tight Ends have been doing very well against them to the tune of the 7th worst defense in the league against them..

Colin Kaepernick – I warned you about him last week against Carolina defense, now be prepared again to lower your expectations. The Saints have played good defense all year except for 1 drive against Tom Brady. Rob Ryan has them playing with fire right now.

Tom Brady – Speaking of the Panther’s defense, they proved they are for real, now they face the elite. I have a really good feeling about the Carolina defense this year, if they can play the same way they have been all year, Tom may not be so “terrific” on Sunday.

Chris Johnson – Last week was an embarrassment for him and the entire team when they lost to the Jaguars. Johnson had 30 rushing yards on 12 carries and put the ball on the ground twice. It doesn’t get much of an easier matchup than that, now he faces a top 10 rush defense in the Colts.

Steven Jackson – Rushing 9 times for 11 yards and catching 3 balls for 9 yards was all Jackson could muster up against Seattle last week. Now he faces another tough rush defense in TB. Falcons may be able to move the ball in the air, but I expect them to have trouble rushing this week.

Ty Hilton – The biggest problem in Tennessee has been their rush defense, but their secondary has played well. Expect Indy to give a big dose of Trent Richardson and take out their frustration from last week on a Titan team that looked miserable last week.

Keenan Allen – I can’t even believe that I’m putting Allen in the sit section. He has been my favorite pickup all year and I’ve been hyping him beyond belief. I don’t blame you if you were to ignore this recommendation, but Miami has shut down top WRs already this year, so keep expectations low.

Heath Miller – You can tell that Heath has lost a step this year. That injury really took its toll on him. He was never a big numbers TE, but he was always solid with 3-4 catches a game. Now he’s been reduced to a 1-2 catch type of player. He still has his name, but he’s not the same player.

That was your Fantasy Football Flash Week 11 info.
