Week 3: Pickups, starts and sits

Pickups, starts and sits

Pickups:

QBs

Philip Rivers – The former top 10 fantasy QB has been rejuvenated by the new fast paced offense. Pick him up as a backup and if he continues it, then you have a potential top 10 QB.

RBs

Jason Snelling – A lot of people like Rodgers more that Stephen Jackson will be out 2-4 weeks, but Snelling will split the carries, he is more effective, and most importantly, he will be the goal line back.

Joique Bell – Reggie Bush knee results came back fine, but he will be questionable for this week. And even if Bush plays, Bell has been very effective and has taken a couple goal line TDs away already.

Jacquizz Rodgers – He’s the better Falcons RB to pick up in PPR. He still can’t run between the tackles, but he’s fast and good in space.

WRs

DeAndre Hopkins – The Texans finally have an effective WR on the other side of Andre Johnson. He had his breakout game last week and even though he will have some ups and down, he’s a good flrx/bye week replacement guy.

Starts: (outside of top 10 players of that position):

QBs

Sam Bradford – Not only has he been good, but Dallas gave up 2 good games against Eli Manning and Alex Smith.

Alex Smith – Andy Reid’s quick pass offense is perfect for Smith and he has 2 good games so far this year.

RBs

DeMarco Murray – Lots of talk in Cowboy’s practice this week about establishing the run this week. You should capitalize off it.

Knowshon Moreno – He has been the only effective back in Denver. They will have a big lead over Oakland, and he should score 1 or 2 TDs.

WRs

Julian Edelman – He’s the only WR that Tom Brady has that he can trust right now. He’s probably not the long term solution, but he’ll be good for the next 2-3 weeks.

James Jones – Just a hunch here, but with Cincy’s defense focusing on Cobb and Nelson, someone is has to get free on one on one coverage.

TEs

Greg Olsen – Has been Cam’s favorite and dependable target, he’s very underrated and will continue to put up solid numbers all year against most defenses.

Sits:

QBs

Andrew Luck – The offensive line was not good last week and he’s going against a SF defense that is probably angry after last week.

Jay Cutler – Pittsburgh’s defense is all they have left, I recommend benching Cutler even though he’s been solid thus far.

RBs

James Starks – He will be probably most leagues #1 pickup, but he is probably going to just start this 1 week and he will be facing a tough Cincy defense.

Ryan Mathews – Titans defense has been good this year and the Chargers have been more of a passing team anyway.

WRs

Antonio Brown – The Steelers offense is all messed up right now and I wouldn’t advise starting anyone on that side of the ball for them until they show some sign of life.

Ty Hilton – He showed some sign of life for them last week and now he goes against the 49ers defense, not exactly the way to get on a roll.

TEs

Jermaine Gresham – He’s still starting and in a lot of 2 TE sets with rookie Tyler Eifert, but he’s no longer the main TE target, they are slowly showing him the door.

That is your Fantasy Football Week 3 info.
